November 11, 2022: We released that we have been neglectful in updating this page.  Since last update, we updated Tria several times and are now at 3.10.85 for both 32-but and 64-bit versions.  We have provided Dulcian detectors to Unveristy groups in Canada and Italy.  We have demonstrated that Dr. Caron's ImPASS method produces super-resolution images.

October 1, 2014: Quarktet unveils new website.  The new site is fully 'responsive' meaning that the webpage is displayed differently depending on whether it is being viewed on a computer, a tablet, or a smart phone. 


September 10, 2014: Applied Optics accepts publication of 'Frequency Response of Optical Beam Deflection by Ultrasound in Water', which describes how a GCLAD system can be used to sense ultrasound waves in water from 100 Hz to 20.0 MHz at a distance of 2.5 cm away.Response of Underwater GCLAD at various distances

December 20, 2013: PulseView v1.4 is released with new annotation functions.


August 20, 2013: PulseView v1.3 is released with new interpolation functions, display controls, and the ability to "sonify" your waveforms.


July 3, 2012: U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issues patent number 8210045 to Dr. Caron's Continuous Laser Generation of Ultrasound (CLGU). To celebrate, we are offering PulseView for $24 (U.S.) and Tria for only $216.


January 11, 2012: Tria Image Processing, version 2.8, is released. This is the first version that allows the user to write their own image equations.


September 7, 2011: In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of superconductivity, Quarktet is giving one free license of Pulseview to every Physics Department in the USA.


July 21, 2011: Dr. Caron presents the first talk on "Continuous Laser Generation of Ultrasound" at the QNDE Conference in Burlington, VT.

March 3, 2011: USPTO publishes patent application for Continuous Laser Generation of Ultrasound, a method of creating ultrasonic waves in materials for use in nondestructive evaluation of the material.


October 5, 2010: The PulseView Data Plotting Program is released. PulseView is a data plotting program that provides simple and efficient viewing of data in text files.

June 5, 2009: Detroit Red Wings lose to Pittsburgh Penguins in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. All employees are expected to work extended hours.

April 8, 2008: AstroPhoto Insight publishes a review article by Neil Fleming on our Tria Image Processing Program for the removal of blur from sky photos. The online magazine was targeted to dedicated astro-photographers, exhibiting some great photos of nebulae and galaxies. The article steps through the blind deconvolution (using SeDDaRA) of a 1k by 1k image, shows several other examples, and gives tips on avoiding artifacts resulting from saturated pixels.


October 10, 2007: Quarktet releases Tria Image Processing, Version 2.0. Tria V2.0 features a faster interface, faster processing, more features, and the best higher-bit image viewer.


August 17, 2007: Quarktet releases an unpublished paper on the thermoelastic and ablative generation of ultrasound in composite materials.


July 26, 2007: New research on the ultrasonic deflection and displacement of an optical beam (i.e. GCLAD) is presented at the QNDE conference in Golden, Colorado.

June 7, 2006: Alien face discovered in the x-ray of a duck. Although this event has no association with my company, we received over 13,000 web hits on the topic. Any publicity is good publicity.


January 18, 2006: President James Caron featured in Radiations as a "Hidden Physicist". Radiations is the official publication of Sigma Pi Sigma, the national physics honor society.

September 30, 2005: We are happy to announce the official release of the Tria Image Processing Program. This is the first and only program that uses the patented SeDDaRA blind deconvolution process.

October 9, 2003: Quarktet obtains full ownership of the GCLAD patent! The patent was the property of the University of Delaware, where the technique was invented. In September, the University agreed to transfer ownership to Dr. James N. Caron, president of Quarktet and one of the co-inventors.
